Obituary of Shirley A. Johnson
Shirley A. Johnson, 86, formerly of 151 Indiana Ave., Jamestown, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in Stow, Ohio.
A Jamestown area resident most of her life, she was born February 18, 1933 in Corry, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Pearl Querreveld Engle, and was a graduate of Jamestown High School.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Weber Knapp.
Shirley had been a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Levant Wesleyan Church for many years, and in more recent times Fluvanna Community Church.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, R. Richard Johnson of Stow, OH; a son, Randy Holm of Vernon, NY and daughter, Bonnie (Jeff) Bucklin of Palm Bay, FL; stepdaughters, Shirley Johnson of Lakeland, FL, Catherine (Mark) McInturff of Stow, OH and stepson, James Johnson of Lakeland, FL; three grandchildren: Adrianne Holm of Syracuse, NY, Dillon Bucklin of Sebastian, FL and Shane Bucklin of Palm Bay, FL; two step-grandchildren: Amy (Jason) LePard of Stow, OH and Ryan (Amanda) McInturff of Titusvile, FL; and four great-grandchildren: Allison & Molly LePard and Madison & Everly McInturff.
Also surviving is a sister, Barb Johnstone of Jamestown and brother, Jim (Linda) Engle of Clymer.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth R. Holm; infant daughter, Phyllis; granddaughter, Allison McInturff; and four sisters, Evelyn Roberts, Marian Hallquist, Eleanor Plank and Elaine Ford.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2019 in the Lind Funeral Home, led by the Rev. Dayle F. Keefer. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the funeral service.
