I had not seen this page till today. Bruce was one of my close friends in high school. We have not talked for several years and I'm dismayed at this new (to me) news. My condolences to you his family. I expect before long I will be able to greet him again.

Uncle Boopie! When he babysat us as children we never knew what kind of jokes we would learn! We always knew there would be lots of fun and laughter! Even as we married and had children of our own, everyone knew, when you’re with Uncle Boop the Swedish jokes will fly and laughter will be abundant. I cherish the visit he made to join us for Thanksgiving not so long ago. What a treat to have an Uncle share our family meal and celebration! His hand is traced on our heirloom tablecloth and in his writing, what he was thankful for! Rest in Peace Boopie! I will miss you for sure but seeing you in so much suffering was far worse. I know now you are free, golfing and driving your convertible! Bamma, Poppy, Mom and Walt are all welcoming you and probably telling you what to do! Keep them laughing! You were loved more then you know!

When Steve and I started coming to Lakewood Legion, Bruce was one of the first persons we met, sitting in "his seat" at the corner of the bar. He was so welcoming and friendly and we became fast friends with Bruce. He had great stories and his eyes would always light up when he was telling them. He gave me some good advice a real estate sale too.
I remember telling him I really liked this one house but it wasn't listed for sale. He said "do you want to see it?" I said but it's not for sale. He said "That's ok Everything can be" and proceeded to ask Tom if we could get in to see the house. We didn't get into the house- but we had a good laugh.
Bruce liked to play the tickets too and we used to play "winner take all". I'd walk in the door at the legion and I'd hear from the corner of the bar .... "Winner take all Susie?.... ole buddy, ole buddy, ole pal ..."
I will truly miss my friend Bruce... Rest in peace my ole buddy, ole buddy, ole pal......

So very sorry to hear about Bruce’s passing. He was a special friend and mentor to me, especially after the death of my husband. I asked his advice not only on real estate, but I could talk to him about anything. He called last spring, was our last conversation. He will be missed.

I was truly sad to hear of Bruce's passing... Bruce was a special person in the Windoft family... he introduced me to Don, my brothers have fond memories of golfing with him and of course the real estate business that he, Bud and Mary Ellen did together... He was a good guy and will be missed by many...
