My deepest condolences. Mr. Rizzo was my guidance counselor at JHS from ‘84-‘88. I loved him so much. He was so good to me and “guided” me through more than just academics. He knew I lived with my grandparents and we bonded. I’ve often thought about him with great respect, love and profound gratitude. May your faith embrace you and happy memories fill your hearts during this difficult time.

So very sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Rizzo. He was my counselor, mentor and friend for most of my time at Jamestown High School, which I attended from 1985-1989. He was always kind, encouraging and helpful and was one of the few people in my life that ever believed in me. I know he would be very proud of my successful career and accomplishments in life, which I proudly give Mr. Rizzo credit for working to keep me focused, working hard, and setting goals for my future. Prayers for the family and many friends of this great man.

Mr. Rizzo befriended me at Washington Jr. High. He not only mentored me, he saw more in me than I saw in myself. He encouraged me. We had our rough spots at times, but he never gave up on me and always believed in my potential. He was one of the reasons I went from a dropout to my BA degree at Fredonia. A good man, a wise man and a deeply caring man. I will always be grateful to him for his impact in my life. Rest In Peace.

Sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was such a positive influence to all his Washington Jr High students. I remember him talking to me about the NFL draft, and players he was watching... Condolences to his family and all who were lucky to know him.

I wanted to extend my sympathies to your family. I was one of Mr. Rizzo's students many years ago, and he is one of the few counselors and educators that had a positive and lasting impact on my educational career. He was a good man, and our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
