Obituary of Isabel Donato

Isabel Donato, 94, formerly of 99 Newton Avenue, died Thursday November 7, 2019, in Irving, TX. A native of Arroyo, Puerto Rico, she was born April 15, 1925, a daughter of the late Jose Angel Soltero and Isabel Alsieux Contreras. While living in Jamestown, she was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. Surviving are six children Carmen (Dave) King of Waxham, NC, Gladys (Jerry) Gruber of Arlington, TX, Evelyn DeMarco of Jamestown, Ricardo Donato of Yukon, OK, Myrna Dowd of Jamestown and Robert (Tammie) Donato of Jamestown; thirteen grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ricardo Donato, whom she married May 16, 1943 and who died April 17, 2016; two grandchildren Jodie Dowd and Shane Donato; two sisters Margarita and Esther Contreras and two brothers Pedro and Gervasio Rivera. The funeral will be held at noon Friday in the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
