Obituary of Leona F. Corcoran

Leona F. Corcoran, 94, formerly of 13 Kipp Street, passed away Tuesday November 12, 2019 in the Lutheran Retirement Home. She was born September 11, 1925 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Paul and Julia Povlock Krudys. Leona was a 1944 graduate of Jamestown High School. She had been employed as a sales clerk at the former Pearl City Paint and Glass and was a member of the Buffalo Street United Methodist Church. Surviving are her son, Donald (Kathleen) Corcoran of Hilton, NY; two granddaughters, Julie Corcoran of Hilton, NY; Lisa (Anthony) DiGiacco of Rochester, NY; two great grandchildren Giovanni and Daniella; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Povlock; a step sister, Helen Larson; a step sister in law, Verna Krudys; and two stepbrothers, John and Walter Krudys. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
