Obituary of Barbara Ann Nelson

Barbara Ann Nelson,72, of Ashville, died Saturday December 7, 2019, surrounded by family at the home of her daughter in Lakewood. She was born February 6, 1947, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Harold and Florence Mitchell Cline. A 1965 graduate of Jamestown High School, she had worked for Girton's Flowers as a floral designer, Star Motel as manager and finally Sysco Foods as a secretary in shipping and receiving. She was a past member of the Ashville Fire Department Auxiliary. Her entire life was spent trying to make things better for everyone else. She enjoyed Hallmark movies and good food, but by far her favorite thing was family gatherings. She took great joy in arranging flowers for the weddings of many family and friends. Surviving are three children Stacey (David) Stevens of Lakewood, Jennifer (Steve Ryan) Nelson-Curry of Lakewood, Paul J. (Rachael) Nelson of Ashville; seven grandchildren Corey Reichardt, Alyssa Nelson, Taylor Stevens, Morgan Curry, Trenton Curry, Cole Nelson and Brayden Nelson; a sister Sandra Cornell of Ashville and a brother John Kline of Falconer. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Nelson, whom she married November 16, 1979 and who died April 15, 2013. A celebration of life will be held from 1-5 p.m. Saturday December 14, 2019 at the Ashville Fire Hall in Stow.
