Obituary of Leonard A. Liddie

Leonard A. Liddie, 68, of Lakewood, passed away Saturday December 14, 2019 in his home. He was born February 21, 1951 in Jamestown the son of the late Robert A. and Beatrice Smedley Liddie. Leonard was a US Army veteran. Prior to retirement, he was a baker at Jones Bakery and Lakewood Bakery. He also drove bus for the Southwestern Central School District for many years. He was a member of the Henry Mosher Post 638 American Legion in Falconer. Leonard was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his four grandsons whom he adored. Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Melanie Morgan Liddie; a step son, Morgan (Kristy) Bishop of Whitesboro, NY; a step daughter, Jocelyn Bishop of Wexford, PA; his four grandsons, Conner, Logan, Blake, and Cole; a son and daughter from a previous marriage, Neal and Allison Rounds; two sisters, Rhea (James) Case of Cherry Creek; Roberta "Bobbi" VanGuilder of Jamestown; a brother, Keith Liddie of Jamestown; a niece, Lisa (Timothy) Droughn of Silverdale, WA; three nephews, Chris (Tammy) Case of North Carolina, Jeff (Jackie) Case of Farnham, NY, and Jordyn Daniels of Orchard Park, NY. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Lynette Daniels. A celebration of Leonard's life will be held at 11 am Saturday December 21 in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Don Moore will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm Friday December 20 in the funeral home.
