Obituary of Darla L. Archer

Darla L. "Granny" Archer, 76, of Busti, passed away at 7:48 am Sunday, December 15, 2019, in her home, surrounded by her family. An area resident for most of her life, she was born January 6, 1943 in West Decatur, PA a daughter of the late Jesse Ardell and Vivian Lois Fleck Parks. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved baking for her family, gardening and bird watching, especially the hummingbirds around her home. Darla was a member of the Busti Fire Department Auxiliary for over 50 years. Surviving is her husband of 58 years, Eugene A. Archer whom she married July 5, 1961, three sons; David Archer of Bemus Point, NY, Barry (Sylvia) Archer of Celoron, NY, Joey (Kelly) Archer of Raleigh, NC, nine grandchildren; Andrew Millner of Jamestown, NY, Joshua (Krecious) of Moore, OK, Brittney (Eddie) Nazario of Frewsburg, NY, Devan Shirley of Raleigh, NC, Joshua Houghwot of Celoron, NY, Samantha (Dustin) Abshire of Colorado Springs, CO, Brienna Archer of Raleigh, NC, Lisa Archer of AZ, Logan Archer of Raleigh, NC, six great grandchildren; Teagan and Tatum Nazario, Elena and Ryder Abshire, Abigalle and Adilynn Archer, two brothers; Jerald Parks of Emporium, PA, Richard Parks of West Decatur, PA, a sister; Francie (James) Williams of Morrisdale, PA and two sister-in-laws; Karen (Floyd) Martin, Gwendolyn (Victor) Lutz both of Phillipsburg, PA. The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 20, 2019, in the Lind Funeral Home. Chaplain Peter Dawson will officiate. Burial will be in the Busti Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-7 pm Thursday, December 19, 2019, and for one hour prior to the service on Friday in the funeral home.
