Obituary of Glenda M. Pelham

Glenda M. Pelham, 66, of 2584 Donelson Road, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at UPMC Chautauqua. She was born in Jamestown on April 25, 1953 and was a daughter of the late Ralph and Virginia Walton Winters. Glenda earned her nursing license from WCA through the Associate Nursing Degree Program at Jamestown Community College. She then worked as an LPN for 26 years at WCA Hospital and helped start the outpatient 'partial hospitalization' program at Jones Hill. She was a member of Kiantone Congregational Church and enjoyed gardening, flowers, yard sales & thrift stores, and watching birds. Surviving is her husband, Robert L. Pelham, whom she married July 8, 1989; a daughter, Deanna Mitchell and her fiancee, Justin Woodberry of Sterling, IL, as well as a son, Curtis Snyder; four grandchildren: Felicia Mitchell, Rudy (Tyler Fuller) Mitchell, Jr., Taylor Conway and Emmani Rolack; five great-grandchildren: Tavieon Conway, Kayleah Mitchell, Dawson Mitchell, Juliyan Rolack and Mylah Conway; a sister, Birdie Singer; and her loving dog, Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Rooney and Carol Schweichler. The funeral will be held 6 p.m. Monday, December 23rd in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Melvin R. McGinnis, pastor of Kiantone Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Kiantone's Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, for two hours prior to the service in the funeral home. Glenda's family requests that memorials please be made to a Childhood Cancer Research Organization of one's choice.
