I probably played 100 sandlot football and baseball games with John and his brothers. He was a friend that every little boy wanted and needed and he was that boy for so many of us. May he rest in the peace of Christ. Lucien Conti

John was not only my boss but most importantly a friend to me. John brought humor to our department like joking around with other coworkers or overhearing him tell off scam callers haha. John called me "Jay" and his reasoning to us was that "Jordan" was too hard to say, he would say "Hey Jay" and my iconic response always was "Wazzup". When I bought my Jeep he would always tell me stories about his old Orange Jeep Wrangler he had back in the day that he sadly lost in an accident. Football season would come around and I would hear about how the Patriots cheat and no matter what he was loyal to his Browns; regardless of how they treated him haha. John played a role in how I got my first IT job and he has been my mentor here at Bush, continuing forward without him is going to be rough. I will always remember John not because he was my boss or because of his humor but I will always remember John as the first person who helped me get my foot into the professional IT career. I struggled finding an IT job for a year since all companies now really hammer on having experience and well a freshly graduated college student isn't going to have that. John took a risk on me and for that he will always hold a place in my heart as the person who helped a struggling college grad finally get their foot in the door. It's going to be tough without you John, all of us here in the MIS department miss you very much. Rest in peace John; and please be nice up there as we already heard you say "Minga" at heaven's gate...

I have known John for many, many years. We go back to our days hanging around with the East Side guys, playing ball at Silver Fence, we coached Little League Baseball together, and John recruited me as a Browns Backer back in '99. I was honored to be selected the President of the Browns Backers of Jamestown, after John stepped down. He had an infectious smile and an addictive laugh. He was truly someone you wanted to be around. Rest in Peace, my friend!
