Obituary of Nancy J. Glatz
Nancy J. Glatz, 70, of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly at 9:45 am Monday, February 3, 2020, in her home.
An area resident for most of her life, she was born December 4, 1949 in Dunkirk, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph and Kathryn Leden Nazaro.
She was a graduate of Jamestown High School and earned her AAS degree from Jamestown Community College. After attending the State University of New York at Fredonia she returned to Jamestown and graduated from the Jamestown School of Practical Nursing Program.
Before her retirement she worked as a licensed practical nurse for Family Health Medical Services, where she was an addiction and recovery specialist.
She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved her dog Lucy, arts and crafts, especially painting and making jewelry. She also enjoyed the special times she shared with her friends in Florida.
Surviving is her husband of 44 years, Craig A. Glatz whom she married September 6, 1975, three daughters, Kelly (Michael) Graham, Erin (Matthew) Himes both of Jamestown, Katie (William) Phelps of Ashville, NY, two sons, Jamie (Michelle) Glatz of Jamestown, Jim (Sue) Schebell of Richmond, VA and eleven grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Nazaro.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas Knopp, pastor emeritus of Christ First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6-8 pm Friday in the funeral home.
