Obituary of Robert Moon

Robert Moon, 93, of 63 Sanford Drive, Jamestown, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020 at his home. He was born June 10, 1926, in Jamestown, a son of the late John and Bertha Jankowski Moon. He attended Jamestown High School and was a veteran of the US Navy serving in World War II. Before retirement, he was employed at Dowcraft Corp. for many years. Robert was a member of Cardinal Hills Golf Course where he loved to play golf. He enjoyed reading and wood building projects, and loved his family dearly. Robert is survived by his two daughters, Roberta (David) Szwejbka of Cincinnati, OH and Jan (Terry) Hotchkiss of Sevierville, TN, a son Thomas ( Lois) Moon of Jamestown, eight grandchildren, Megan (Jesika) Liliestedt, Devin (Eric) Johnson, Nicole (Justin) Glen, Danielle (David) Hoff, Ryan Szwejbka, Amanda Conrad, Alexis Moon, Beverly Moon, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly J. Moon, who passed away on Aug. 30, 2013 and a grandson, Robert "Bobby" Moon on July 27, 2015. Friends will be received from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
