Obituary of Ronald E. Stenstrom
Ronald E. Stenstrom, 70, formerly of Jamestown, died Wednesday February 26, 2020, in VA Hospital, Erie, PA.
He was born August 13, 1949, in Jamestown, a son of the late Wesley and Gertrude Fisher Stenstrom.
He was a 1967 graduate of Jamestown High School and graduated with honors in 1969 from the Culinary Institute of America, New Haven, CT.
He served in the US Navy from 1969-74.
For many years he was employed by Beechwood Country House and also The Town Club as a chef.
He was a longtime active member of First Lutheran Church. His other memberships include Ingjald Lodge 65 IOV, participating in its Male Chorus, Ira Lou Spring Post 149 American Legion, John W. Tiffany Post 53 VFWand a life member of Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving is a sister Karen (Gerald) Peru of Corry; a brother Roger Stenstrom of Jamestown and a niece Kristine Riggins of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers James and David Stenstrom and a nephew Gerald Peru, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Lutheran Church Chapel.
The family will receive friends in the church parlors immediately following the service.
Inurnment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.
