Obituary of Wanda J. King-Jenkins

Wanda J. King-Jenkins, 76, of Bush Rd., Clymer, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020 peacefully at home. She was born Dec. 26, 1943 in Corry, PA, the daughter of the late Russell and Julia Swan King. She was a 1961 graduate of Corry High School. Before retirement, Wanda worked at the Corry Walmart, spending most of her employment in the fabric department. She owned her own sewing and alteration business, Little Gramma's Stitchery. Earlier in her career she also worked for Peek'n Peak, Better Baked Foods, and was also an Avon Lady for many years. Wanda was part of a bowling league at Cutting Lanes for many years. She loved golf and roller skating. Wanda also loved to bake, creating many birthday and wedding cakes over the years. Wanda is survived by her husband Tim Jenkins, whom she married April 27, 2001; a daughter Vicki (Gail) Coan; three sons: Lawrence (Heidi) Dunnewold, Craig Dunnewold, Eric (Kristin) Dunnewold; nine grandchildren: Jocelyn Milliman, Vanessa (Josh) Baron, Cody and Andrew Dunnewold, Kaley (Jesse) Brown, Caitlynn Dunnewold, Jacob, Chloe, and Veronica Short; three step children: James Jenkins, Kim (Rob) Orelski, Chris Jenkins; a daughter in law Nicole Shaffer; eight step grandchildren: Morgan, Mason, Emillie, Wyatt, Evan, Mya, Lexis, Ellajane; six great grandchildren; three brothers: Richard "Dick" ( Vera Jones) King, Marvin (Hazel) King, and Larry King, a sister in law Charlotte King, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twin granddaughters Isla Hope and Marlowe Grace Baron; her stepfather Forry Green; a brother Ronald King; and a nephew Dwayne King. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020 in the Clymer United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kevin Costner, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Lawn Cemetery in Beaverdam, Pa. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday in the Lind Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the church.
