Obituary of Allene B. Johnson

Allene B. Johnson, 92, of Jamestown, NY, passed away peacefully, at 8:20 am Sunday, March 8, 2020, in the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House, Warren, PA. A lifelong area resident, she was born May 10, 1927 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Lloyde A. and Bertha Wilcox Boswell. She was a graduate of the former Lakewood High School and had previously been employed by Jamestown Mutual Insurance Company and later as Manager of the Walden Book Store in the Chautauqua Mall. Allene and her husband Rune enjoyed many years of camping and traveling throughout the United States and Canada. She was a longtime member of the Bethel Lutheran Church, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and the Ingjald Lodge 165 Independent Order of the Vikings. Surviving are a son; Randall (Cathryn) Johnson of Monroe, CT, a daughter; Karen (Dennis) Lindemoen of Minneapolis, MN, two granddaughters; Jennifer (Michael) Parsell, Tricia (Robert) Pagel both of Monroe, CT, four great grandchildren; Augusta and Briggs Parsell, Lucy and Lila Pagel and three step-great grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Isaac and Carter Hughes all of Minneapolis, MN. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rune L. Johnson whom she married October 6, 1948 and who died November 1, 2012, two sisters, Margaret Borkman, Lucy Widrig and a brother, George Wilcox. The funeral will be held 11 am Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Steven Kilburn will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the funeral home. Memorials may b e made to the Busti Fire Dept, 886 Mill Rd.
