Obituary of Glenn C. Wigren
Glenn C. Wigren, 92, formerly of Willard Street, passed away Saturday April 4, 2020 in the Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility.
He was born December 10, 1927 in Jamestown the son of the late John and Lena Moline Wigren.
Glenn was a 1945 graduate of Jamestown High School and served in the United States Navy during WWII.
For almost 40 years, he worked at Hopes Windows, retiring in 1990. Glenn was a member of the former Immanuel Lutheran Church, and was an avid train enthusiast.
Glenn's family wishes to extend a special thank you to everyone at Heritage Village for their loving care and kindness over the years.
Surviving are a son, Tom (Lynn) Wigren of Gerry; two grandchildren, Derek Cissell of Walpole, MA, Eric Cissell of Maple Valley, WA; and two great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Cooper Wigren whom he married October 19, 1957 and who died September 27, 2003; and two brothers, Richard and Harry Wigren.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date by the Lind Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heritage Ministries, PO Box 350, Gerry, NY 14740; or the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
