Obituary of Betty Josephine Williams

Betty Josephine Snead Williams passed away on Tuesday April 14, 2020 at UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA. She was born in Richmond, Virginia September 17, 1942, the daughter of Marion J. Walton and Charles H. Snead Sr. Betty resided in Jamestown, NY from 1969 until her passing. Betty Worked for Visiting Nurses of Western New York for many years, retiring in 2003 to care for her husband, Hermen Sr. She found great joy helping others which she often did, always ready with open arms to help those in need. She also found great joy spending time with family and friends, going to BINGO, knitting, crocheting, reading, puzzles, and shopping. Betty is survived by her loving children: Samuel "Martin" (Candace), Paul "David", Joseph "Joe" or "Billy", Beverlee (Scott), Richard "Rick" (Karen); her stepchildren: Hermen Jr. (Peggy), Patricia "Pat", Tina, Paula, and Irene. She adored her many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as her nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Hermen Williams Sr. whom she married June 5, 1971 in Celoron, NY and passed September 20, 2009; her son Isaac III in 1971; daughter Donna in 1978; and her stepsons Dale in 1986 and Harry in 1996. Due to the current restrictions related to the Coronavirus, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Leash on Life, 12 Lucy Lane, Jamestown, NY 14701.
