Obituary of Carl H. Uhlig

Carl H. Uhlig, Jr., 89, of North Port, FL, formerly of Jamestown, NY, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020, in the Englewood Hospice House, Port Charlotte, FL. Carl was born January 13, 1931 in Warren, Pa, a son of the late Carl H. and Elsie Gartner Uhlig. Before his retirement he was employed by Valeo Engine Cooling, formerly Blackstone Corporation, for 50 years. Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Wiggins Uhlig of FL, three sons; Rowdy Uhlig, Toby Uhlig both of North Port, FL, Ty Uhlig of Summerset, KY, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, a brother, Herman and three sisters; Olga, Betty and Linda. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Uhlig who died November 8, 1995. In keeping with Carl's wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation observed at this time. Burial was in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
