Obituary of Sylvia Dawn Uhlig

Sylvia D. Uhlig, 85, of North Port, FL, formerly of Jamestown, NY, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, in the Harbor Chase Skilled Nursing Facility, Venice, FL. She was born September 25, 1934 in Salamanca, NY, a daughter of the late Wayne and Nina Raymond Wiggins. She was the widow of Carl H. Uhlig whom she married in October 24, 1998 and who died April 27, 2020. Before moving to Florida she was employed in the bakery department at the former Quality Markets on Foote Ave. for several years. Surviving are three step-sons; Rowdy Uhlig, Toby Uhlig both of North Port, Fl, Ty Uhlig of Summerset, KY, several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Stanley Sidock who died July 13, 1986 and a brother. In keeping with the family's wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation observed at this time. Entombment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Salamanca, NY.
