Valerie ( Adams) Rettig posted a condolence
Wednesday, June 3, 2020
Hello family. I was saddened to hear of Caressa passing. I will always cherish the fond memories of life on Burtis and Lindwood growing up. We would run from my house to hers and the playground, We all would play with Craig and Vickie through out the years. She was my mother's best friend. I pray they are now in heaven enjoying crafts and talking about the old times. Hopefully when we can all get together i can give you a hug. God Bless and comfort you all Valerie (Adams) Rettig.,

I’m so sorry to read of your Mother’s death in the P-J. Her obituary is a testament to her!
I never knew that your Mother was instrumental in creating the Burtis St Playground. I spent my childhood at that playground making popsicle stick jewelry boxes, boondoggle items and who knows what else, to bring home to my parents. I’m sure my Dad, Jack, knew your Mother, I certainly remember her. My Dad was 2 years younger than your Mom, growing up in Celoron as well. As a kid, I lived on Conewango, then on Metcalf. May she rest in peace.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy of the passing of your treasured Mother.
It was a pleasure and an honor to have had the good fortune of being in her life for a snippet of her valuable time.
Albeit it's been decades since Caresse and I communicated.......she left indelible life lessons to a very naive, silly and young girl to which that young girl realized the importance of all of them eventually, throughout her entire life.
For this I thank you Caresse Bush,
I'm confident in the fact there'll never be a more intelligent, talented, kind, generous, family oriented and loving human.
I will forever remember, with honor, Caresse Bush this way.

Vicky, Craig and family I was saddened when I heard of your mom’s passing. I have many fond memories either visiting her in the shop on Saturday’s afternoon or helping out in shop. She so wanted to see Celeron become a small village of neat little stores.
You all are in my special thoughts and prayers.

So very sorry to hear of your loss....she was so creative.. talented.. artistic... so many people admired her work!! She was also a loving and caring “Mom”..... who taught her children and grandchildren the true meaning of family... I’m sure she will be missed.... thinking of you and praying for all of you... but I’m positive that there’s a little bit of her in all of you.. her legacy will continue

The family of Lee 'Barney' Kellogg (1932-1995) extends to each of you our most-sincere sympathy at Caresse passing. She was certainly a 'dynamo' for the Village of Celoron and beyond. I have so many memories of our childhood; your Dad being one of my Dad's best friends: SOOOOOOOO many memories. Stay strong; I know you will.
Vicki, Craig, Gordia and the entirety of each of your extended families, know I'm thinking of you with much love at this sad time.
