I was the dinner cook for a year in the 80's before going away for college. The Brookwood (with Tommie's Pizza, the diner, and event hall upstairs) was a treasure. Most dinners were made from scratch upon ordering, except for some dishes that Tommie prepped earlier in the day. Tommie and Mr. Dimas (Lou) were great people to work for and very talented. I have the best memories from those days in the restaurant. Rest in peace Tommie and Lou.

Family of Tommie,
May the blessings of eternal life be remembered as her reward, with the sadness we currently feel, with the passing of our friend Thomaidha. She was a dear person, and always with a happy greeting, because she loved life and everyone she knew.
I knew Mrs. Dimas and Louie from growing up in the Greek Church from the 1950's thru 1970, and I know her sister Athena who was a good friend of my late mother's. All the ladies were in the Ladies Erene Society making delicious spanekopita pies from scratch made dough.
When I lived out of town during the 60s thru the 70s, upon making Jamestown my home again, a special treat for my young family was a Tommie's Pizza. It was my parent's favorite pizza place and my Mom always talked about the good food at the Brookwood Restaurant.
May the angels of the Lord kneel with you in your prayerful moments. So sorry for your loss. May her memory be eternal.

So sorry for your loss. "Tommie" was a friend of my mother, who would take her lunch breaks from Gray's Drugs and eat at the Brookwood. I absolutely loved going there with her and saw Tommie an untold number of times. My mom thought the world of her and was sad when Tommie retired. I have not lived in Jamestown for nearly 40 years, but those memories are planted deep in my mind. God bless your mom - she was such a kind person.
