Obituary of Terry J. Coleman
Terry James Coleman Jr., (BIG DADDY) 75, of 409 Lakeview Ave, died Tuesday July 28, 2020, in his home surrounded by his family.
He was born August 9, 1944, in Corinth, Ms. The son of the late Terry James Coleman Sr. and Maxie Caldwell Gates.
He graduated from Eason High School in Corinth Mississippi; He played football all through his high school years (great player). He later graduated from Northeast Mississippi Community College with degrees in Auto Body and Auto Mechanics, and then attended Alcon State University.
He was a Vietnam veteran of the US Army from 1966-1972
He was employed by Southbridge Plastic of Corinth, Mississippi, Cummins Engine Plant, Accurite, JRL Enterprise, and AFA Foods. Following retirement he formed his own business Mo's Lawn Service.
He was a member of Heavenbound Ministries of the Apostolic Faith.
Surviving are is wife Norma Trice Coleman; six children Joanne (Sammie)Tyes of Corinth, Ms, Angela (Leonard) Bowen-Brazell of Port St. Lucie, FL, Terry James (Kimberly) Coleman lll of Opelika, AL, Eleanor (Derrick) Thornton of Tallassee, AL, Derrick (Christine) Coleman, Everett Genor (Tammie) Coleman both of Jamestown; grandchildren Tetra And Tamara Tyes, Whitney, Jacob and Kingston Brazell, Brittni Bowen, Brandon Brazell, Terri, Tracy, Phillip, Dazjah, Gianna, Kendria Coleman, Taylor, Courtney Thornton, Keelyn Piazza, Devin, Collette DiDomenico-Kent; great grandchildren Kamaree Brown, Syier and Jaylen Mitchell, Davion and Avianna Corley; siblings Lillie Walker, Bobby Walker, Willie (Lisa) Gates all of Corinth, MS, Lamar (Ruby) Walker of Rienzi, MS and Robert Gates of Corinth. And Uncle John (Thea) Riddles, of Corinth MS Aunt Willie Mae Patterson Paducah, KY, and a host of nieces nephews and friends.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Bruce Coleman and two brothers JB Walker and Elvester Moore.
In keeping with Terry' wishes no funeral service will be observed.
A walk through visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home.
