Obituary of RoseMarie Rizzo

RoseMarie Rizzo, 76, of 2631 Palm Road, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Monday August 31, 2020. A lifelong area resident, she was born July 28, 1944, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Dominick and Angeline Milone Salone. She was a 1962 graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Jamestown Business College. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years by Chautauqua Institution. She attended Fluvanna Community Church and participated in the Prison Ministry and Koinonia. She took tremendous pride in her family and making her house a home. She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting and painting. She found joy in traveling to attend her grandchildren's sporting events. Surviving are her husband Jack Rizzo, of 56 years, married on January 18, 1964; three children Jack Rizzo Jr of Jamestown, Lisa (John) Vervoort of Brockway, PA and Karen Graham Bernat of Erie, PA; five grandchildren Anna Graham, Attorney J. MIchael Vervoort, Sarah Graham, Tommy Vervoort and Jessica Bernat; two sisters Paula (Dean) Johnson and Diane Hitchcock both of Jamestown and a brother in law Raymond Oljeski of South Carolina. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Oljeski. Due to the restrictions of the pandemic a private family service will be held. The public is invited to view the service online on Thursday September 3rd at 2 pm on the Lind Funeral Home Facebook page. Sadly, visitation will not be observed however a public memorial service will be arranged at a later date. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
