Dear Jane and Family,
God’s loving arms are wrapped around you giving comfort and strength.
“I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.” Leo Buscaglia

It is an honor to pay tribute to Jerry Lockwood. Everyone who crossed his path would agree he had a caring heart, an unforgettable presence, a Mark Twain sense of humor and great wit.
He didn't allow himself to resent or hate or reflect bitterness. He was always outgoing, friendly and full of humorous memories. Jerry will not only be missed by his family but by those he competed with in the sports world as well as social and business worlds. Now he has left us for greener pastures where he will entertain, inspire and rattle the cages of the angels and the loved ones who have gone on before.

My sincere condolences to the Lockwood family. Played many wonderful golf events with Jerry at Moon Brook.
When I joined MBCC he reminded me there was “no democracy at a Country Club” .
50 years later it is still true. Always a gentleman to me.

Dear Jane. So very sorry to hear about Jerry. He was a great neighbor and friend, and together
you raised a family the Whiddens will always treasure. Jerry was a true gentleman and an
example to all. I remember my son Steven telling me how much he admired Jerrys support of the junior golf
program at Moonbrook, and personal advice he offered Steven. Mark, David and Kristie, You should
be very proud to have called him Dad. God bless you all.

A Jamestown legend, what a tremedous loss. I loved seeing Mr. L at the Y. He was very smart and cheerful, mostly liked to tease you and have fun. I imagine that Jerry and Ted have an early tee time in Heaven. God Bless the entire Lockwood Family!

Jerry helped many as he donated his time and expertise to provide free tax preparation to those aged 60 or older and low to moderate income families. As a partner in the “Joel-y and Jerry” team, he was the man on the phone. Using his smooth and reassuring demeanor, he would comfort many tax clients. What an incredible way to help others.

My memories of Jerry go back more than 50 years ago to a time when a young college graduate returned home to Jamestown and took a job with an insurance agency called Fisher & Short where I worked. Shortly after that he returned to Kentucky to marry his beloved Janie and brought her to Jamestown. A couple who brought a smile to those they met. Jerry left to work with Travelers and I to stay at home to raise a family. Years later we would meet again when we were both working in insurance and that animated smile and joy would light Jerry's face everytime our paths would cross as we would catch up on our growing families. A great tribute to a very nice man. My condolences to you all.

i was around him for many years on weekends in the paddle hut in Warren. It is hard to imagine that he is no longer with us, except in fond memory.
