Obituary of Patricia A. Walden

Patricia A. Walden, 83, formerly of 3596 Woodhaven Dr. Jamestown, NY, passed away at 1:30 am Tuesday, September 8, 2020, in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born September 3, 1937 in Warren, PA, a daughter of the late Charles and Henrietta Howard Apthorpe. Pat graduated from Southwestern Central School and was one of the first class of students to attend the opening of Jamestown Community College. In later years she graduated from the licensed practical nursing program and work in private home care and retired from the Lutheran Home as an LPN. She was a former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was an accomplished artist and enjoyed carving miniature figures. Surviving are her children; Lynne Carlson, Jeffery Walden, Daniel Walden all of Jamestown, seven grandchildren; Kortney Nixon of Ashville, NY, Kristin Higgs, Lindsay Hubbard, Alec Walden, Rylea Walden all of Jamestown, Erik Walden of Warren PA, Tyler Walden of Germany, 8 great grandchildren, two brothers; John Apthorpe of Frewsburg, NY, Charles Apthorpe of Mayville, NY and a sister; Sharon Messel of Jamestown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Letizia "Liz" Walden who died February 21, 2019. A private family service will be held on Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Adam Rohler, pastor of the First Covenant Church will officiate. The family will be present to receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 pm Friday in the funeral home.
