I'm Sorry to hear of Tillies passing, I met her when I was in my 21st year and I went to work at Saint James Preschool in JMST. I was so impressed by her that I spent another 25 years working with preschool kids thanks to her Godly ways ,Now I'm 58 and retired.. I would occationaly run into her and remember and she remembered me. I wish there were more people like her working with our kids, She was truly a Godly blessing to all who knew her. KIM EVANS

Bea,
So sorry to read about Tillie. She always treated me with a generous genuine warmth when I talked with her in the shop about antiques or steamboats or worked with her on a committee. Tillie has given so much of herself volunteering to the betterment of Chautauqua County. May you have lasting memories and be under God's care in the time to come when times are sad. We will all miss her and have special memories that recall her time with us. My deepest condolences.

Beatrice....I am so sorry to just learn of your mom’s passing. She would always visit me in my office at Village Hall to chat, talk about our dogs, or just to say hello. After retiring last year, I seem to have fallen out of day to day business, so I was saddened to learn of her death. My sincere condolences to you and the rest of your family. Andrea W.

To Tillie's family,
I got to know Tillie when we attended Graduate Nurses together back in the day, years ago. She was always kind, understanding and accepting of everyone and their opinions. We lost touch when the organization ceased to be but I'll always remember her as a very caring person and a volunteer who gave so much back to her community.
My deepest sympathy,
Elaine Crossley, RN (retired)

In celebrating the beautiful and full life Tillie lived I have so many fond memories , some of my favorites were the times we shared planning and organizing “Kids Day” in Lakewood.
We would bring in the train from the safety village, collect school supplies for kids, Calvert would put on a show which his minature horses, Harvey would make his treasured balloon art & we had a sidewalk coloring contest and just have a beautiful day of watching and listening to the kids play and laugh.
Tuesday I would usually see her in the restaurant for her favorite ‘cream of asparagus soup’... if I didn’t see her I would try to deliver it on my way home just to check on her and see that wonderful smile she always had for me
Years prior I remember her and the difference she made in children’s life from head start , including my daughter’s in ‘86.
She impacted so many life’s n so many ways, her beautiful long hair and warm smile will never be forgotten.

It was a honor and privilege to have known this wonderful woman. I first met her at a Lakewood Village Meeting and then at the Women's Club. Smart as a whip, strong, sensible, courageous - not enough words to describe Tillie! I always looked forward to seeing her VW Bug pull up to a meeting! She was a friend and she will be missed.
