Obituary of David E. Spontaneo

David E. Spontaneo, 65, of Kennedy, died Friday September 11, 2020, in Buffalo General Hospital. A lifelong area resident, he was born June 27, 1955, in Jamestown, a son of the late Wallace E. Spontaneo and Beverly Wargo Miles. He was a 1973 graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Titan X as a machine operator. For many years he was a member of the Falconer Volunteer Fire Department as an EMT. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting. He will be remembered as a non-judgmental man who loved landscaping and maintaining his yard. He has now been reunited with the love of his life and best friend, his late wife Karen, whom he married May 28, 1977. Surviving are two daughters Kristi (Russ) Leone of Fredonia and Nicole Spontaneo of Jamestown; six grandchildren Gioachino and David Donisi, both of Jamestown, Elliana and Rusty Leone of Fredonia, Mara Leone of Rochester and Anthony Leone of Orchard Park and three siblings Dan Spontaneo of Frewsburg and Lorie and Lonnie Spontaneo, both of Jamestown. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Karen Leonard Spontaneo, who died February 20, 2019. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Ivory Cemetery. Due to the restriction of the pandemic a walk through visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Masks and social distancing are required while in the building.
