Jean, we thoroughly enjoyed our Hidden Valley neighbors. Thanks to Mort, we now have the full field mowed all summer. Sorry we could not attend, we are becoming Hidden Valley snow birds, moving to Belmont NC as our home in Jamestown is sold. He will be dearly missed but not forgotten. Prayers for you and your family.

Our sincere sympathy at this time, Condolences from John and Becky Mortenson in Sugar Grove, PA. Gotrdon and John are first cousins. Our paths have not crossed for many years, but we have a great appreciation for the contributions both Gordon and his Father made to our family and society. It was interesting to read about Gordon’s contributions to his church and community. Godon’s father, a Swedish immigrant, was a WWI veteran . We have some family photos we’d like to share, contact us at our business phone (814) 489 3457. Again, we are sorry for your loss, Prayers. John and Becky

Jean, Mark, Heidi and family. I'm so sorry to here of Morts passing. I have fond memories of when you lived in the neighborhood all those years ago. Playing ball with the "big kids" in the side yard, playing in the field behind the house and when Mort installed a back yard gas light for my mother. May he rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear of Gordy’s passing. Growing up, he was our next door neighbor, his son Mark was my brother Chris’s best friend and Gordy coached their winning Little League baseball term. I have memories of Gordy’s quiet, humble nature and his ready smile. In nice weather, after walking home from high school, I would see Gordy’s wife Jean working on some project in their back yard and shared many conversations with her. Gordy will be sadly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Dear Heidi, Jean, Sam, and Little Sam --
We are saddened about Mort's passing and want to send our sincere condolences to your family. It has been a pleasure knowing him through Sam's baseball teams all through the years, and we're grateful and appreciative for his encouraging words and cheers for our Jack as well! I have loved visiting both Mort and Jean at the games, they both have found common conversation topics with us --- a real art in this age! We will certainly miss him. Sending you all a virtual hug and hopes for peace.
Sincerely,
Roger. Sandy, and Jack Trettel

I was very saddened to hear of Morts passing. He was a wonderful neighbor, coach, and friend. He was like my second dad. Just a great guy!
