David was a friend for over 40 years, I would say my best buddy ever! He was the kind of person that put effort into friendship. We had many, many mutual interests: travel, food & drink, snow and water skiing, music and culture, ideas, perspectives and discussions of every topic out there. He was the kind of person that would listen carefully and respond thoughtfully and often with clever humor. He had a generosity of spirit unmatched in my experience. he had an abundance of interesting friends and introduced me to a great many. Although most of our lives were spent hundreds of miles apart, we always worked to make time for a visit or call or send an email or a text. In his retirement we had an exchange nearly everyday of something meaningful and remarkable.We talked of future plans as soon as this damn Pandemic is over. We had a lot of laughs and shared so many memorable times, we had a great run! God broke the mold after Dave was made. My life will never be quite the same.
