Obituary of Lynda B. Fray

Lynda Brass Fray was born August 11, 1947, in Arcade, NY, and was called home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 11, 2020, in Dallas, TX. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a dear friend and mentor to many. Lynda was the daughter of the late Bernard and Martha Brass, of Arcade, NY, and is survived by her husband, Dr. David Fray, and by her children, Kristin Wykoff of Lookout Mountain, GA, and Rev. Matthew Fray of Dallas, TX. Her grandchildren are Adalynn, Brooks, Isaiah, and Getiya Wykoff, and Lydia, Hudson, and Samuel Fray. She is also survived by her brothers, Donald Brass of St. Pete Beach, FL, and Jerald Brass of Olean, NY, and a sister, Barbara Meyers of Arcade, NY. Lynda was a graduate of Arcade Central School and the State University College, Fredonia, NY, and lived in Buffalo and Rochester, NY, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Dallas, TX. She served as Childrens and Youth Choir Director at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Ft. Lauderdale, and for 19 years at Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas. Her mission was to plant God's Word deeply in the hearts and minds of children through the singing of biblical texts. Interment and graveside committal service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2020 at Lake View Cemetery in Jamestown. A memorial service will be held at Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas on Monday, Sept. 21st at 4 p.m. Memorials may be given to Covenant College, Lookout Mountain, GA.
