I've known John for over 40 years. His dad and mom (Bob and Mable) were an integral part of the Fluvanna Community Church where I served as pastor for 42 yrs. I visited John many times at his home in Maple Springs, where we shared life, faith, problems, questions from the Bible as well as his health issues and family concerns. John had a wry sense of humor and the tenacity of a hard working lumber jack. I will miss him, and will have many fond memories of our times together. I believe that he clung desperately to faith in Jesus Christ. May God's grace rest upon his family
