Obituary of Duncan A. McNeill

Duncan A. "Mac" McNeill, 78, of 2698 Erickson Road, Ashville, died Tuesday December 15, 2020, in UPMC Chautauqua with his wife Elli by his side. It is with sad relief that he is no longer with us. He was born May 21, 1942, in Dayton Ohio. He was a 1964 graduate of Williams College. Mac was a veteran of the United States Army Reserves serving as a drill sergeant for 12 years. He was a Town of North Harmony councilman for over 10 years. Surviving are his wife Eleanor Fulton McNeill, whom he married May 31, 1975; three children Rachele (Bob) Genberg of Ashville, AJ (Fran) Osborne of Marilla, NY and Andrew (Beth) McNeil of Rochester, NY; a brother Russ (Leslie) McNeill of California, a sister Becky (Phil) Doherty of Vermont and a sister-in-law Darlene Fulton (Jim). Also surviving are his eight grandchildren Cody (Whitney), Zach (Robyn), Jake (Lauren), Sarah (Marshall) Kyle (Julia), Melissa (Chad), Clarissa and Whitney (Rob) and five great grandchildren Jack, Charlotte, Caroline, Clara and soon to be Nora. In keeping with Mac's wishes a private memorial service with family will be held at the families' convenience. Memorials may be made to Ashville Volunteer Fire Department.
