Obituary of Marilyn M. Roth

Marilyn M. Roth, 75, of Ashville, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020 at home following a lengthy illness. She was born Dec. 20, 1945 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Richard G. and Lorraine Smith Dahlbeck. Marilyn was a 1964 graduate of Panama Central School. In earlier years, she had worked at the Chautauqua County Health Department for 12 years and after retiring, worked on the family dairy farm for many years. Marilyn had a love for horses and animals, enjoyed snowmobiling, attending county fairs, and collecting bears and glass art. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frank W. Roth, whom she married June 11, 1966, and a brother and sister in law Gordon and Joanna Dahlbeck. She was preceded in death by her father Richard G. Dahlbeck in 1999, her mother Lorraine Smith in 2003, and her grandparents including her paternal grandmother Hildur Dahlbeck in 1965. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020 in Grant Cemetery, Niobe. The Rev. Timothy Phelps, Hospice Chaplain, will officiate. Visitation will not be observed.
