Obituary of Diane E. Forsberg
Diane E. Certo Forsberg, 74, of 59 Louisa Ave., Jamestown, died Monday, December 28, 2020 at UPMC Hamot.
Diane was the widow of Robert G. Forsberg, Sr. who passed away November 17, 2020. They were married July 29, 1989.
She was born January 30, 1946 in Highland Park, Michigan, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Palermo Certo.
Diane worked as a merchandiser for the Brand Names Sales store in Jamestown for many years. She was also an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lakewood.
She is survived by two children, Donald Mitchell (Emily) of Pittsburgh, PA and Patricia Webb (Rodney) of Mesa, AZ; four grandchildren, Benjamin and Jack Mitchell, and Anthony and Madison Webb; and a brother, Russ Certo (Alice) of Jamestown and Ft. Myers, FL. Also surviving is her stepson, Robert G. Forsberg, Jr. (Patricia) of Hamburg, NY; step-granddaughter Stephanie Forsberg; and step-great-granddaughter, Adelynn Forsberg.
In addition to her husband, Robert and her parents, Diane was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony "Tony" Certo.
A combined Mass of Christian Burial for both Mr. and Mrs. Forsberg will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lakewood, NY. The Rev. Piotr Zaczynski will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Following the current pandemic regulations for social distancing, friends will be received in a 'walk-through' manner from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, January 4th in the Lind Funeral Home. Masks are required at all times.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
