Obituary of Eleanor Y. Hagelin
Eleanor Y. Hagelin, 89, of 68 W. Virginia Blvd., died Sunday January 3, 2021, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing.
She was born May 17, 1931, in Falconer, a daughter of the late Oscar and Martha Backman Youngberg.
She was a 1948 graduate of Jamestown High School.
She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was a long-time member and participated in Sonshine Society, Altar Guild and Home Communion. Her other memberships include Bournes Beach Association and Salvation Army and its Home League and Senior Citizen Group.
Surviving are two sons Robert (Janelle) Hagelin of Charleston, WV, and Paul (Kimberly) Hagelin of Jamestown; six grandchildren Robert Hagelin, Jr., Jill Gwinn, Andrea, Balzer, Nicole Balzer, Ava Hagelin and Ayden Hagelin and four great grandchildren Raechelle, Ava, Laila and Emilia and one great, great granddaughter Harmony.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Hagelin, whom she married August 16, 1952 and who died January 10, 2011 and a daughter Karen Balzer in 2004.

A walk-through visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 pm Thursday
Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
