Roy had a green thumb and the most beautiful lawn and landscape in the neighborhood. Planting a tree in his name is a wonderful tribute.

Roy was a neighbor to my parents Bill and Joyce Shockley in Lake Wales, Florida. They thought very highly of Roy and the spiritual guidance he provided on many occasions over the years. Roy took pride in his lawn and spent numerous hours taking care of it, the most beautiful lawn and landscape in the neighborhood! My condolences to Ginger and the family.

I will remember my uncle having an easy laugh, a good heart, a patient set of ears and a wide range of skills. I will remember helping him at my grandmothers when he would take his vacation time and come home to improve her house. I will remember him and my aunt introducing me to “Kringle” I will miss him dearly.

Throughout his life, from high school (where he received several awards, including the Babe Ruth Good Sportsmanship Award) until his death, he was well loved and highly respected.
His love for God, family, sports and model trains was evident daily. He placed effort and attention to the things he loved. His love for family is evident in his two sons and their respective families. He was very proud of them and loved them dearly.
I will miss you, dear brother, I will miss your laugh, smile and above all I will miss the ability to call you for your support and wisdom.
Rest in peace and in the comfort of God's arms. That which we have lost, Heaven has gained.
.....Love you forever,
Ruth (sister)
