Obituary of Gary L. Millward

Gary L. Millward, 79, of Jamestown, NY, passed away at 4:35 am Thursday, January 7, 2021, in the Warren Manor, Warren, PA. He was born August 9, 1941 in Jamestown, NY, a son of the late Lee John and Virginia Backlund Millward. Gary was a 1959 graduate of Bemus Point High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Jamestown Moose Lodge and the National Rifle Association. Before retiring due to ill health, he had been employed by Hopes Windows, and the Checker Cab Company. In earlier years he had worked for the former Firch's Baking Company. Surviving are two daughters; Debbie Cordell of Alexander City, AL, Rebecca L. Boyd of Beauregard, AL, several grandchildren including a granddaughter; Emma Grace Taylor of AL, a brother; David Millward of Chinatown, NC, a sister; Pat Lyon of Coos Bay, OR, two step-sisters; Bonnie Kelly and Sue Freeburg and a step-brother; Robert Trussler. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Inurnment will be in the Red Bird Cemetery.
