Obituary of Christina L. Spetz

Christina L. Spetz, 90, of Tanglewood Manor and formerly 300 Lincoln Street in Jamestown, passed away early Monday, January 11, 2021 at Bradford Manor in Bradford, Pa. where she had resided since late last year. She was born June 5, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Harold F. Spetz, Sr. and Ellen Price Spetz Smith. Christina had been employed by the former G.C. Murphy Co. in Jamestown for 25 years in sales, and Ames Department Store, prior to her retirement. Christina loved to read and was an avid knitter who lovingly created many items for family and friends which have been passed down through the years. Christina is survived by three nieces: Sheryl (Scott) Hamilton of Greensboro, NC, Dawn Spetz deLyon of Kernersville, NC, and Michelle (Robert) Bruggeworth of Greensboro, NC. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Sr. in 1934; mother, Ellen in 1983; step-father, Perry L. Smith in 1948; and her brother, Harold F. Spetz, Jr. who died in 1984. There will be no service or visitation at this time. Inurnment will be in Lake View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Tanglewood Manor, 560 Fairmount Avenue, Jamestown, NY 14701.
