Obituary of Mark D. Neubauer

Mark D. Neubauer, 54, of 506 Margaret Street, Jamestown, died Thursday January 21, 2021, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. A lifelong Jamestown area resident, he was born March 24, 1966, the devoted son of Hazel VanOrsdale Neubauer, currently of Lakewood, and the late Ronald Neubauer. He made his home for the past 30 years with his life partner, Sandy Hoch. Mark was a 1984 graduate of Jamestown High School and employed by Omni Services in Falconer. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, working in his yard, feeding the finches and cardinals while outsmarting the deer, and walking his dog Lucky. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and an avid golfer at Breezewood Golf Course. Mark is survived by his two brothers Scott (Carolyn) Neubauer of Pittsburgh and Stephen (Stephanie) Neubauer of Plano, TX; three stepchildren Bobby (Tessa) Hoch, Carrie Hoch, and Jason (Shannon) Carnahan; five nieces Michelle (Eric) Snyder of Columbus, OH, Chelsea (Andrew) Lammert of St. Louis, MO, Taylor Neubauer of St. Louis, MO; Kaitlyn and Sydney Neubauer both of Plano, TX; two great nieces Paisley and Everly Lammert of St. Louis; eight step-grandchildren, one uncle and many close friends and cousins. A celebration of his life will be observed in July. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
