Obituary of Vivian G. Thompson

Vivian G. Thompson, 94, formerly of North Cowden Place, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021 in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born August 24, 1926 in Buffalo, a daughter of the late Arthur and Grace Smyth West. Before retirement, she was employed at Sears, Roebuck, and Co. for many years. She will be remembered for her love for her family. Vivian is survived by her six grandchildren: Betheny, Andrew, and Joshua Almquist, Jason, Kendra, and Jessica Parish; nine great grandchildren; a son in law Mark Almquist; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband Jerome H. Thompson, whom passed away on July 21, 2020; two daughters: Beverly A. Parish on July 20, 2016 and Sheryll A. Almquist on March 26, 2019; a sister Ruth Behm; and two brothers: Arthur and Jack West. No visitation will be observed. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
