Obituary of Phyllis J. Clark

Phyllis J. Clark (nee Bergman), age 92, of Heritage Village, Gerry, NY, formerly of Busti, NY, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 due to complications from Covid-19. An area resident her entire life, she was born in Jamestown, NY on September 19, 1928, the daughter of the late Carl and Mary Bergman. She graduated from the former Lakewood High School. After she and husband Russ raised their four children, she worked at the local JoAnn Fabrics store, where she rose to the position of manager. After her retirement, she continued to enjoy her life at her Busti home, tending to her flower gardens and enjoying her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Russell, her brother Vaner Bergman, her brother Kenneth Bergman and her brother Paul Bergman. She is survived by her sister Nancy Tellinghuisen, her son Ronald Clark (Allison Powell), her daughter Sharon Clark, her daughter Peggy (Gary) Andrews, and her son R. Michael (Holly) Clark, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation. A private graveside service for family and relatives only, will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
