All deepest condolences to Margie, Chris, Betsy, and his sisters, all those closest to good friend John. John managed our little rock and roll band in Holly while he was in college. He helped build our equipment, record and produce our songs, work the phones to get us jobs all over the southeast corner of Michigan and in northern Michigan near the family cabin in Rogers City. His abilities as recording engineer taught us discipline and professionalism, technically on a par with commercial recording studios of the day, even as we did our recording in the large concrete auto dealership garage his parents operated in our little town of Holly Mi. The knowledge learned from John paid dividends as my career took me to studios all over Detroit, Lansing and even CBS in Chicago. If not for John they would have known I was just a bumpkin. John had a Pontiac Tempest with a dashboard keyboard hooked up to several well tuned horns under the hood so as we drove around the countryside he could play from his vast reservoir of tunes he knew by heart. He was an excellent musician, even skilled at playing car horns. When our little band went to towns up north, quite often John knew the radio jocks and arranged for them to publicize our appearance. Our little band would end up in the radio studio, answering phones from teens excited to go to the fairgrounds to hear our performance. Pretty heady stuff for 15,16 year old rock and rollers. His flair for people was infectious, and could arrange any event to be special, from a camp cookout to a sold out show. As kids we never really knew how smart he was, John never traded on his intellect. We did know he was special. It is often said the world is a lesser place, in this case, indeed it is. Blessings to all.

I was so saddened to hear about the passing of John. John was a great friend, mentor, coworker, and yes an electrical engineering genius. He taught me so much about ultrasonics during my tenure at Blackstone-NEY Ultrasonics. We traveled together to many trade shows and teamed up on our presentations to captive audiences which were made up of mostly men.
I’ll never forget the time we were in Orlando attending a conference and I was called up to the podium out of the blue to talk about one of our new benchtop cleaners. Being totally unprepared, I nervously took to the podium and spoke thinking I did just fine. As I got back to my seat, I sat down with a sigh of relief only to have John turn to me and say, “ god you were long winded and you rambled on and on!” That was John, blunt and to the point. He was always there to offer you a hand; however, he never held back on praise or criticism.
To his entire family, I send my deepest sympathy for your loss. John will be missed. I may not be there in presence to honor him but I’ll be there in spirit.

I remember meeting Mr. Fuchs when I was a junior in high school and thought what a very cool father Betsy had. He made the best pizza! I was known to him in the summer of 1997 as the kid who kept calling his 800 number at the house. Your family is in my prayers. Blessings, Aaron Wadin

My sincere condolences to your family. I knew John mainly through being on the board of the Jamestown Comcert Association with him , where he served as treasurer for many years. He was a wonderful accomplished man , who had a dry sense of humor and a great deal of courage in his fight with cancer.
I know he will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.
May he Rest In Peace.

I have never NOT known John!! Halloween was the best and we always made the trip to the Fuchs house (thankfully we lived within walking distance)! Christmas time when Santa showed up for the kids was equally as amazing! Seasons Greeters is my family and John was always there! His sense of humor and wisdom will be greatly missed (although I’m fairly certain Chris IS, in fact, John...???). Love to you all always! Margie, Chris, Betsy and family, you are in my prayers!
