Sandy’s favorite view - of her sons’ dogs from her porch in Hadley Bay, where you could always catch her reading a book or watching the hummingbirds drink up outside. She spoiled all of the doggies in her life, loved her family and friends deeply and enjoyed life to the fullest. We will miss her deeply and I am so fortunate to have had Sandy as a part of my life for almost 20 years.

Sandy, Linda Nordine and myself grew up together from infants through high school. We were in Brownies and Girl Scouts. Used to go roller skating at Celeron Park with our little skirts, ice skating at Allen Park and Foote Avenue, and lots of bike riding. In the winter we would slide down Reservoir hill, now Willard Park, turn onto Pearl Ave and go as far as we could. The lot behind the house on Willard St where she grew up is where we used to play baseball and yes, made forts. After Christmas her parents burned Christmas trees and served hot dogs and hot chocolate. We always had fun at my birthday party playing games and then Ghost Alley in the basement. In the summer with Brownies we went to 100 Acre Lots for crafts and learning about nature. In grade school my Mother would take us to plays at the high school. Trick or Treat was always fun going around the neighborhood. We did bowling together in high school. When we were little our Mother's used to take us to Allen Park to play in the pool. Went to the Y for swimming lesson and rode bikes to Busti to go swimming in the community pool. It was always nice seeing Sandy thru the years after high school. So sorry to hear of her passing. My Deepest Sympathy to her entire family. Memories are yours forever, hold them close to your heart.
