Obituary of Edward S. Anderson

Edward S. Anderson, 68, of 210 Schuyler St., died Sunday, January 24, 2021 in the emergency room of UPMC Chautauqua. He was born in Jamestown on July 12, 1952, the son of the late Gale W. "Wes" and Dorothy Hobart Anderson. Ed served in the U.S. Navy for over nineteen years, retiring in 1994 as a Petty Officer First Class. He loved his two cats. He also loved history and visits to historical sites, as he saw the world while serving in the Navy. He was a huge Lucille Ball fan and had many Lucy collectibles. Ed always sent family members thoughtful cards on birthdays and holidays. He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Ed was preceded in death by his father in 1986, his mother in 1995, and by his sister, Gayle D. Anderson in 2006. A memorial service date is yet to be determined.
