Obituary of Josephine M. Zembardo

Josephine M. Zembardo, 93, of 39 Walnut Street, died Wednesday February 10, 2021, in her home. A lifelong Jamestown resident, she was born November 27, 1927, a daughter of the late Natale and Sebastiana Rosele DeStefano. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School and was a long-time employee of WCA Hospital in the linen department. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. She enjoyed going out to eat and shopping with her friends. Surviving are two sons Dominic Zembardo, Jr. and Richard Zembardo and a brother Natale DeStefano all of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dominic Zembardo, whom she married July 30, 1949 and who died May 22, 2000; two sisters Grace Peterson and Carmella Ditonto and two brothers Frank and Sebastian DeStefano. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
