Obituary of Eunice M. Faison
Eunice M. Faison, 80, 514 East 5th Street, went home to glory on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 10:30 am surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 27, 1940 in Ramer, TN. and was the daughter of the late Cletus and Versye Knight.
Eunice attended Jamestown High School. She worked at AMSCO and retired from ACU-RITE.
Eunice was a loving mother to Victoria (Ronald Sr.) James, Diana (James Bess) Faison, Sharon Faison, Jamestown, NY and Shirley (Neal) Forney, Huntsville, AL. A devoted grandmother to Rashonda Leeper, Qiana T. James, Joshua (Amanda) Orlando, Ronald ("RJ") James Jr., China (Michael) Kinney, Truman (Jenifer) Leeper, Tanisha Forney, and Tasheena Marshall. An amazing great grandmother to Izonna Austin, D'yavion Kinney Rosario, Justice Orlando, Noah James, O'zion Kinney, Leahana Leeper, Hope Orlando, Kaylee Gabalski, Jaydon James, Torieon Leeper, Nayla Torres, Donte' James, Rayah Leeper, Lillian James-Hyde, Tamia Leeper, Makhia Kinney and Kiara James. She was a wonderful great-great grandmother to ZiyaRay Garcia.
Eunice was a faithful mother of the church Emmanuel Baptist Church, she participated in the Kitchen Committee, led the Junior Usher Board, member of the Usher Board, worked with the Youth Group and drove the van to pick-up the children to attend this weekly activity. She was instrumental in the formation of the Junior Choir. She truly was extremely fond of Rev LeRoy and First Lady Debra Walker. She was also a member of the Daughter Elks IBPOE Chadakoin Elks Lodge 718.
Eunice enjoyed her family, cooking, gardening, traveling, QVC, HSN and doing her word search puzzles. She especially loved to teach her grand and great grandchildren to cook and bake. Eunice was the Family Historian.
Surviving are her siblings Marlene Campbell, James, Robert, and Roy Sr. Knight and her only living Aunt Lois Avery and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Cletus and Versye Knight; two brothers Eddie and Troy Knight.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Lind Funeral Home, 805 W. 3rd St., Jamestown N.Y. The family will receive friends on a walk through on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Rev LeRoy Walker will officiate the family private service. The service may be viewed at www.facebook.com/lindfuneralhomeinc/ starting at 10:45 a.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church, at 53 West 23rd Street, Jamestown, NY 14701.
