Obituary of Cynthia A. Swanson
Cynthia A. "Cindy" Swanson, 70, of Jamestown, NY, passed away at 6:25 am Thursday, March 18, 2021, in UPMC Chautauqua following a brief illness.
An area resident for most of her life, she was born September 26, 1950 in DuBois, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Florence Gindy Nasuti.
She was a graduate of Brockway High School in Brockway, PA, and a graduate of Jamestown Business College.
Before her retirement she was a case manager for Chautauqua Opportunities in Chautauqua County and in previous years had worked for the Resource Center.
Cynthia was a member of the Camp St. United Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends.
Surviving is her husband John R. Swanson, with whom she celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 5, 2021, a daughter; Kelly (David) Wawrzyniak, a son; Jasen (Nicki) Swanson both of Jamestown, NY, three grandchildren; Robbie Higden of Manhattan, NY, Alex Swanson of Buffalo, NY, Kendall Swanson of Jamestown, three sisters; Debbie Weible, Karen Anderson both of Falls Creek, PA, and Cheryl Graham of Curwensville, PA.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Jennifer Delahoy, pastor of the Camp St. United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Gerry Cemetery, Gerry, NY. Visitation will not be observed.
