Obituary of Bonnie L. Breneman

Bonnie L. Breneman, 66, of 3731 Harris Hill Road, Falconer and Homosassa, Fla., passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 in Florida with her husband, Gary, by her side. She was born in Jamestown on September 4, 1954, a daughter of the late Jerry and Shirley Spangenberg Reeves, and attended Southwestern Central School and Jamestown Community College. In earlier years, Bonnie was employed as an insurance salesperson and by TruckLite. She retired after a number of years with the Cummins Engine plant in Lakewood. Bonnie was a member of the Dewittville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed horses throughout her life, both showing and training, and had served as secretary of the Tennessee Walking Horse Association. She also liked to shoot skeet and was a life member of the Big Tree Sportman's Club. An admirer of Celtic music, Bonnie was an accomplished fiddle and Irish flute player. She enjoyed hunting and fishing, archery, quilting, shopping and loved her dogs. Her family will always remember her great cooking and baking. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Gary L. Breneman whom she married June 15, 1996; stepfather, Daniel Olson of Dewittville, NY; two daughters, Connie (John) Hadley of Virginia and Mandy DuVall of Falconer, NY; four grandchildren, Jaclyn Blake, Joseph Hadley, Tyler Blair and Sadie DuVall; a great-grandson, Symon Blair; and a sister, Sherry (Gene) Hunt of Vermont and a brother, Jerry (Debbie) Reeves of Cassadaga, NY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Blair this past December 2020. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Dewittville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mark Parsons will officiate. Burial will be in Allen Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday prior to the service in the church. Masks are required.
