Obituary of Mark J. Duncanson

Mark J. Duncanson, 64, of 25 Wicks Ave., Jamestown, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, March 25, 2021 in the Emergency Room of UPMC Chautauqua. He was born December 16, 1956 in Schenectady, NY and was a son of the late William F. Duncanson III and Ann Toner Duncanson. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Mark was a graduate of SUNY Geneseo and received his Juris Doctor degree from Capital Law School in Columbus, Ohio. A lawyer admitted to New York State's 4th Appellate Division in 1994, Mark was an attorney for the Chautauqua County Surrogates Court. He enjoyed golf and carpentry. Mark is survived by his daughter, Lillian Scholeno of Lubbock, TX; siblings, William Duncanson IV (Sandra) of Bemus Point, James Duncanson (Emma) of Jamestown, Ann Crossley (Ken) of Bemus Point and Cynthia Mooney of Buffalo; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father in 2010; his mother in 2017; and by a brother, Gregory S. Duncanson in 2017. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced by the Lind Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to his daughter for her medical expenses.
