Obituary of Gertrude M. Reisenweber

Gertrude M. "Trudy" Reisenweber, 69, of Ashville, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie. She was the wife of Thomas B. "TR" Reisenweber whom she married March 11, 1978. Trudy was born in 1951 in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Beale Siecker. She was employed for 38 years by the Chautauqua County Department of Health, retiring in 2011. In later years, she was also employed by the Ashville General Store where she was known as "the Wing Wench". An exceptional baker, family and friends enjoyed and would often call upon her for her remarkable cookies. Trudy's heart was just as sweet as her delicious treats. In addition to her husband TR, surviving are her children, Adam Sr. (Kathy) Reisenweber of Fredonia, NY and Sarah (Charles) Auge of New Bern, NC, as well as Buck Seekings of Ashville who was like a son to her; four grandchildren: Adam Jr. and Shelby Reisenweber, Kayo and Aysia Auge; two sisters: Susan Saullo of Ohio and Sandra (Charles) Say of Delaware; her extended family, Lois Kibler, Donna Tracy and their respective families; several nieces and nephews and too many beloved friends to mention. A walk-through visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 26th in the Lind Funeral Home, where social distancing is observed and masks are required at all times. Formal attire not required. No funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
